WEC Lines launches a new EBRO Rail service to seamlessly connect to the ESC service.
As of 21 May 2026, WEC Lines launches a new weekly rail connection in Spain, linking Agoncillo and Zaragoza with Barcelona, strengthening the intermodal link with our ESC service to the Canary Islands.
This rail service connects Agoncillo (La Rioja) and Zaragoza (Aragón) with Barcelona with our own trains, providing a seamless door‑to‑door solution between Spain and the Canary Islands. By combining rail and shortsea, customers benefit from fixed schedules, reliable transit times and a more sustainable alternative to road transport.
The new rail connection forms an integral part of our ESC service, offering improved flexibility and efficiency across the supply chain, both southbound and northbound.
