Vessels planner / Operational coordinator (fulltime)

For the Operations department at our head office in Rotterdam, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a good team spirit. This is a challenging position in which you are also expected to be able to operate independently.

Our services mainly concentrate on Belgium, Germany, England, Portugal, Spain, the Canary Islands and North and East Africa. Our head office is in Rotterdam and we also have branches in Hamburg, Antwerp, Barcelona, Nairobi and Mombasa.

Job description

Coordinating cargo flows
Planning/arranging cargo on ships
Liaising with agents worldwide
Coordinating with captains, terminals and other lines
Accepting hazardous cargo
Administrative handling of ships

Profile

You have a higher professional education level and a completed maritime education
Demonstrable experience as container transport ocean freight planner
You are collegial and at the same time able to work independently
You have strong analytical skills
You are in possession of your own transport
Good command of the Dutch and English languages
You are able to think in terms of possibilities and solutions
Furthermore, you have commercial insight, are proactive and have a flexible attitude
