About the role
As a Vessel Operator, you will be part of our dynamic Operations Department, reporting directly to the Supervisor Operations. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all activities related to the deployment of our vessels, contributing to seamless maritime operations. This role is vital in maintaining effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Plan and allocate cargo on vessels to ensure optimal utilization.
- Coordinate cargo flows and liaise with agents worldwide.
- Communicate and coordinate with captains, terminals, and other shipping lines.
- Safely stow hazardous cargo and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Handle vessel-related administrative tasks.
- Provide 24/7 coordination as part of the Operations team.
What you bring
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commercial insight and a flexible attitude.
- Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage but not required.
- Candidates must be residents of the Netherlands.
- Own transportation for accessibility to our location.
Your qualifications & experience
- Higher professional education working and thinking level (NL: HBO), preferably in a Maritime field.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
