Inside/Outside Sales Representative (fulltime)

We have room for an enthusiastic person with experience in the shipping industry, who is looking for the next step in his/her career. With your customer-friendly and result-oriented attitude, you will be the contact person for our relations. You look for new cargo flows, love challenges and think in terms of solutions. Within the sales team, you and your colleagues are responsible for commercial services in the Dutch market. You maintain contact with the customer service department and the shipping company's line management.

Tasks

Daily issue and confirmation of rates and recording in the quotation system
Telephone follow-up of quotations issued
Targeted sales activities on behalf of the shipping company and management
Supervising new accounts during first shipments
Maintaining telephone contact and updating customer data
Pioneering and searching for new accounts
Looking after and monitoring existing accounts
Organising and preparing field visits
Coordinating operational processing (where necessary)
Contributing to the account management team

Profile

HBO working and thinking level
At least 5 years of experience in shipping/transport and have knowledge of shipbroking activities
Experience in shortsea (Portugal/Spain/Morocco) and deepsea (East Africa/Red Sea/Middle East) is a plus
Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing, German is an advantage
Good working knowledge of MS Office
Ability to set priorities and act accordingly
Goal-oriented and willing to realise target(s)
Furthermore, you have good communication skills, are solution-oriented, proactive, a team player, creative, innovative, accurate and of course a commercial talent
