The organisation

WEC Lines B.V. is a dynamic medium-sized maritime transport organisation specialising in container transport. Our services mainly concentrate on Belgium, Germany, England, Portugal, Spain, the Canary Islands and North and East Africa. Our head office is in Rotterdam and we also have branches in Hamburg, Antwerp, Barcelona, Nairobi and Mombasa.

Administrative Assistant Line Management – Deep Sea (full-time)

Job description

  • Administrative processing of bookings / shipments and reporting to both the department and management in preparation for further processing in the disbursement department;
  • You are partly responsible for controlling and directing the international agent network;
  • You think along with improving the various processes within the deepsea shipping areas;
  • Assisting with daily operational matters related to cargo flows;
  • Coordinating inland transports East Africa and keeping track of related transport rates;
  • Maintaining vessel capacities and calling off booking stops;
  • Track schedules and rotation changes of the vessels and see the consequences of the changes;
  • Maintain loading lists in both loading ports and transhipment ports.

Profile

  • You have MBO+ working and thinking level;
  • You have strong communication skills in the Dutch and English languages;
  • You are familiar with and proficient in modern office systems, such as Excel(++);
  • You are results-oriented and stress-resistant, and can oversee the process and continue to function efficiently and effectively under time pressure;
  • Individually strong, proactive as well as loyal and a team player within the Deepsea Line Management team.
