WEC Lines has secured the ISO 9001:2015 certification after putting in place effective processes and trained staff to deliver flawless services time after time.

WEC Lines strongly values strict quality assurance standards that are applied throughout the entire organization.

This month, WEC Lines’ headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands received ISO 9001:2015 certification. This achievement further underlines our dedication to the ongoing delivery of operational excellence. It also illustrates our continued commitment to the advancement of the processes involved in our shortsea and deep sea operations, addressing the needs of our clients, maintaining solid relationships with our partners, and holding our suppliers accountable.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard that provides a framework for organisations to deploy and maintain an effective quality management system, ensuring the delivery of quality products and services to their customers.

Developed by the International Organization for Standardization in Geneva, Switzerland, the ISO 9001:2015 certification is the most recent iteration of ISO 9001 (the last update to ISO 9001 having been issued in 2008). It comprises seven Quality Management Principles including a strong client focus and continuous improvement.

By obtaining this certification, we aim to strengthen client confidence, trust and satisfaction in working with the company. In addition, ISO9001:2015 supports continuous process improvements and streamlining of our operations, thereby reducing costs and enabling a better competitive position. This should ultimately guarantee an even more resilient and sustainable business.

“WEC Lines considers continuous improvement to be one of the fundamentals of doing business,” said Dimitra Lynch, Compliance Officer WEC Lines. “Delivering quality is integral to our company ethos. We seize every opportunity to improve our service delivery, not because it is a nice-to-have PR tool, but because it helps us improve resource efficiency, reduce risks, and sets us up for the future.”

The ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, granted by Normec Certification B.V. after a four-day audit, covers WEC Lines’ entire business operations.
