WEC Lines strengthens NWC CAI service with a fourth vessel

WEC Lines is further strengthening its NWC Canary Islands (NWC CAI) service by increasing the fleet from three to four dedicated vessels.

This expansion reinforces the connection between Northern Europe, Portugal, Spain and the Canary Islands, providing customers with a more robust and reliable short sea solution.

Greater reliability and flexibility

With the addition of a fourth vessel, the NWC CAI service will operate with four 868-TEU vessels in a 28-day rotation. The increased fleet capacity helps improve schedule reliability and ease operational pressure, supporting more predictable supply chains for customers.

The enhanced service offers consistent transit times and greater flexibility for both import and export cargo, further strengthening WEC Lines’ network connectivity across the region.

By continuing to invest in its short sea network, WEC Lines remains committed to providing customers with reliable, efficient and flexible transport solutions connecting Northern Europe with the Iberian Peninsula and the Canary Islands.
