At the Rotterdam office, we are looking for a: Supervisor Vessel Operations.

About the role
As Supervisor Vessel Operations, you will lead the (Senior) Vessel Operators and administrative staff within our Operations Department. Reporting directly to the Manager Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality collaboration and efficient execution of operational sailing schedules. This role serves as a central point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring safety, efficiency, and effective communication.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate sailing schedules and ensure operational execution.
- Approve vessel passages based on weather conditions and ensure safety compliance.
- Act as the main contact for the Marine Operations Headquarters regarding vessel safety.
- Adjust sailing schedules in the WEC system and manage bunker orders for the fleet.
- Establish and align supplier contracts in Rotterdam.
- Maintain contact with ship agents worldwide.
- Coordinate with captains, terminals, and other shipping lines, including issuing “Fleet Instructions” to chartered vessels.
- Manage offhire records for the WEC fleet and verify port cost invoices.
- Develop training programs and oversee the duty roster for (Senior) Vessel Operators.
- Lead department projects and drive operational improvements.

- Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage but not required.

Your qualifications & experience
- Higher professional education working and thinking level (NL: HBO), with at least a completed education, preferably in (Maritime) Logistics.
- Proficient in MS Office 365.
- Proven management experience or training.
